About

Making News Today is an educational program that aims to help students develop multiliteracies through their engagement in analysing a range of media and creating their own digital video news stories .

The Making News Today educational program is part of a research project involving a team of educators and researchers based at the University of Wollongong. This research is supported by an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant funds the project. Apple Computer Australia and WIN Television provide significant support as collaborating organizations.

The Making News Today website was developed by emlab.

The Making News Today program can be used across the curriculum and has been particularly designed to address outcomes for Years 9 and 10 English, Technology and Arts.  The program has been linked to national Statements of Learning for English and ICT and syllabi in each state and territory.
